Abandoned Fantasy World is a theme park and water park located in Lemery, Batangas, approximately four hours from Manila. Fantasy World may not be as grand as Disneyland, but it is the best we can do for now. The fact that the location is nearly abandoned is what makes this attraction so distinctive.

Fantasy World was supposed to be the Philippines’ Disneyland, but owing to the Japanese owner’s lack of funds, the medieval-themed park remained incomplete till today. In truth, building had been halted for many years. It was never open to the general public.

History of Abandoned Fantasy World Theme Park

It was started in 2001 by a Japanese businessman but never finished. It had the potential to be a fantastic attraction, but the opportunity was squandered. Fantasy World, which was supported by the Department of Tourism, was planned to have a castle, main gate, access road (the first three of which were already completed when the story appeared), a club house, a 504-room hotel, a chapel, and rides.

Although the castle appears beautiful from the outside, a walk-through revealed it to be nothing more than a façade. Several elements of the castle were not even painted on the inside. The walls in several of the unoccupied rooms are flaking. All of the rides were incomplete and inoperable.

The abandoned Fantasy World is open to the public, however it is not easily accessible. There is a Php1000 admission charge. Apart from its castle-like features, the area still has rides installed. Although if it is no longer operational, it may still be used to snap photographs.

Fantasy World’s centerpiece is a Medieval-style castle. In contrast to the genuine Castle, the attraction simply provides façade. They are all accessible, although there isn’t much to be seen within.
