Photographs Show The Most Beautiful Architecture Around The World

Congratulations to @trantuanviet, who has won the competition with an aerial shot of Vietnam’s most famous footbridge, combining unique design and poetic scenery. A total of 10,367 photos have been submitted to the free-to-use photography app Agora, but only one photo has been voted ‘World’s Best Photo of #Architecture2020’ by the global community.

The most recent photography contest hosted by Agora encouraged its community of users to submit their most creative and captivating photographs of exceptional buildings for a chance to win $1,000. This provided participants with the opportunity to learn about some of the most remarkable structures the world has to offer.

Agora is a mobile app where photographers, whether amateur or professional, can participate in international photo contests and promote their work for the chance to win cash prizes (ranging from $1,000 to $25,000) and international recognition. On March 10, the #Architecture2020 contest was launched on Agora.

The worldwide audience that is a part of Agora plays a significant role in the decision-making process that determines who will win the contest. All users have the ability to vote for the photograph that resonated with them the most, creating a democratic environment in which anyone can participate, vote, and win.

“The spectacle that is #Architecture2020 is all about the beauty that can be created when light and volume interact with one another. The contrast between anarchy and order, natural and the man-made, substance and void, and fullness and nothingness. Photons scattering after colliding with man-made structures, as captured by some of the greatest photographers in the world “Octavi Royo, CEO and Co-Founder of Agora, made the following comment.

The photo “Golden Bridge” taken by @trantuanviet, which is an aerial shot of Vietnam’s most famous footbridge combining a one-of-a-kind design and poetic scenery, received the most votes on the Agora app. As a result, @trantuanviet was awarded the title of #Architecture2020 Hero as well as the top prize of $1,000.

Which of the following structures attracted your attention the most? Don’t forget to give a thumbs up to the photographs you like!

1 Winner: Golden Bridge

Location: Danang, Vietnam
“The Golden Bridge was constructed at an elevation of approximately 1,400 meters above mean sea level. It has a total length of 148.6 meters and is comprised of eight separate spans, the longest of which is equal to 20 meters. This remarkable piece of architecture is held up by two enormous hands made of concrete, which are meant to represent the hands of the Mountain God.”

2 Clifton Suspension Bridge

Bristol, in the United Kingdom
“This breathtaking view of the fog passing beneath the suspension bridge only occurs a few times each year due to the weather circumstances. Even though I’ve spent the last two years living right next to this bridge, I’ve never been able to get a good picture of it. Within a month of relocating and despite having to commute for nearly an hour, it seemed as though everything was falling into place. So I went down there for three days in a row, and on the third and last day, I was successful in getting it!”

6 Low Fog In Moscow

Location: in the Ostankino neighborhood of Moscow, Russia
“In Moscow, sunrises with low fog are not something you see very often. I woke up at about three in the morning and noticed that there was fog outside my window, so I thought it would be a good time to fly my drone. Due to the intense nature of the fog, I was unable to even make out the tower itself from where I was standing. But when I took off my drone, I observed this remarkable picture: a slender sky needle hovering over a sea of fog, with a shadow that made it appear as though it went on forever. The morning had the most beautiful sunrise of the entire summer.”
