Nick Cannon Hospitalized With Pneumonia Amid Ongoing Lupus Battle

On Friday, Nick Cannon made it known that he had been admitted to the hospital with pneumonia.

In the midst of his health issues, “The Masked Singer” presenter, who also has lupus, posted two images of himself in a hospital bed on Instagram.

The post’s caption, written by 42-year-old Cannon, begins, “Okay, so I guess I’m not Superman.”

“I made a self-promise that I would never return to this location… However, this is a fantastic reminder to look for yourself first since if you don’t, no one else will be able to.

“Don’t trip though, I don’t need any well wishes or prayers, just some solid rest and I will be back on the way to being stronger than ever,” the “Drumline” star continued.

Cannon recalled that just a few hours prior, he was giving a performance for his “Wild ‘N Out” tour without any apparent problems.

The “School Dance” actress continued, “Crazy thing is, last night we was just rocking a sold out crowd at Madison Square Garden in front of thousands of fans, and now I’m all alone in a little hospital room.” The emotional roller coaster that is life! #LupusWarrior.”

After being admitted to the hospital for minor renal failure and pulmonary blood clots in 2012, Cannon revealed for the first time that he was battling the autoimmune disease.

At the time, he told People, “I feel fortunate to be alive. “I don’t know [what would have occurred] if it hadn’t been found.”
