Abandoned 1700s Fairy Tale Castle ~ Owner Died in a Car Crash!

This adventure will be like something out of a “fairy tale,” and it will be unlike anything you have ever experienced before. It looks like something straight out of a movie, but off in the distance, on a perfectly manicured field, a dark and foreboding French castle is emerging. Built in 1726 by the strong and powerful Neveu family, who ceded their authority over this part of France and, as a result, became exceedingly wealthy.

The Neveu family is credited with having built the chateau. Their castle makes a statement and demonstrates the resilience of this family over the course of many years. The most recent owner of this location was the aristocratic Joan, who followed in the footsteps of his forefathers and lived a life that was glamorous and filled with money.

This castle was home to Mister Joan, his wife, and their six children and loving companion for many decades. Throughout that time, they cultivated an innumerable number of memories that are still there in the castle to this day. In addition to being a successful businessman, he had a passion for hunting down and collecting classic and rare automobiles.

Tragically, this hobby ultimately proved to be the cause of his passing. On September 23, 2013, Mister Joan was involved in a car accident and passed away instantly as a result of his injuries.
