Although it has been given the moniker of the world’s loneliest house, many people are hailing it as the ideal home for an introvert.
After being uploaded to Instagram a week ago, pictures of the White House quickly gained widespread attention and went viral. The pics depict a picture-perfect log cottage that is nestled on top of a verdant hillside and is flanked on either side by azure waters.
This house, as reported by The Mirror, can be found on Ellidaey, an uninhabited island located to the south of Iceland. This little island is located in the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago, which consists of between 15 and 18 other islands. The island is completely uninhabited at the present time, however in the past there were five families living there. In the 1930s, the very last of these families fled the island, and ever since then, it has been completely depopulated.

Some people have hypothesized that the mansion is owned by the well-known Icelandic musician Bjork or a reclusive religious figure.
Some people on social media have gone as far as to assert that the images of the mansion have been doctored using Photoshop and that the house does not even exist.
The Ellidaey Hunting Association is the legal owner of the home, which can be found on the island of Ellidaey where it has always been located. Built in the 1950s, it is used by members of the association, which is dedicated to the hunting of puffins, as both a hunting cabin and a sauna.
