Abandoned Sanatorium Michel Peiry in France

Sanatorium Michel Peiry is a decommissioned hospital in Languedoc-Roussillon, France. It was established towards the end of the 1940s to house children with TB and other respiratory disorders. It also functioned as an asthma treatment center. While it is clear at first look that this facility was created to aid children, there are just a few evidence of its medical history.

The Sanatorium Michel Peiry closed its doors in 1995 due to financial reasons and has been abandoned since since. According to urbex reports and photos, various pieces of furniture, destroyed doors, and broken windows may still be discovered within. It is hidden in the highlands and appears to be a ghostly home. On a few urban exploration trips, we prepared images of the abandoned Sanatorium Michel Peiry.

Thanks to the urban explorers who took these urbex photos in prior years. A special thanks to Mat Travers, who may be found on Instagram. We also couldn’t have done it without the Urbx13 crew from France. They also have an Instagram account where they publish photos from their urbex expeditions.
