Abandoned Mooreland Mansion Lists in Harrodsburg, KY for $49.5K (PHOTOS)

Harrodsburg, Kentucky, United States, 40330 712 East Lexington Road
The historic Mooreland Mansion, which was once called Ashfelt Manor, is currently sitting empty and exposed to the elements, which is hastening its deterioration. This is despite the fact that it is one of the largest and most intriguing structures in the city of Harrodsburg. The mansion and the 2.96 acres of land on which it is situated have just been listed for sale at a price of $49,500. In 1891, Colonel Daniel Lawson Moore commissioned the construction of a Romanesque Revival mansion for his wife, Miss Minnie Ball. Although the identity of the building’s architect is unclear, the structure has been likened to the work of Clarke & Loomis. At an earlier auction for foreclosure, the Mooreland Mansion was purchased by a bank for the sum of $329,465. The offering is described as a building site that already has a house on it, according to the current advertisement. No one may enter the house since it poses a threat to their health and safety. The land is being sold in its current condition and location. Mooreland Mansion, along with the surrounding 2.96 acres of land, is currently listed for sale by Todd Hyatt of Lois Ann Disponett Real Estate at a price of $49,500. I’d like to extend my gratitude to the Bluegrass Team for providing the images.
