This computing power belongs to a crypto mining farm, a space stuffed with specialized computers used to solve challenging math problems that maintain the network while also generating more bitcoin.

Abandoned Soviet-era structures in Abkhazia were now being used as bitcoin mining operations. Huge windows in the structure were gaping holes without glass, suggesting that there were likely nests of industrial fans there. However, the bitcoin mining industry struggled, and the mining farm within an abandoned building was eventually shut down and replaced with rusted mining equipment.
