This is the tale of a home that has been left unoccupied and the guy who constructed it for his family.
Robert was a very successful man. After completing his education at one of the most prestigious medical schools in the country, he went on to become a well-known surgeon, a father of four children, and even a leisure pilot. As Robert and his son, who was around the age of 13, were flying in Robert’s jet on a business trip, the plane suddenly went out of control and crashed into some rugged terrain. Robert was operating the steering wheel. Both of them perished as a result of the impact. But, the destruction caused by his passing was much beyond anything any person could have anticipated. The multimillion-dollar life insurance policy that belonged to Robert was canceled because he had fallen behind on the premium payments for the two months running up to the time of his passing.
His family had lost all of the financial support that had been provided for them, and they still owing eight million dollars on the mansion; in addition, their mortgage payment was an astounding fifty thousand dollars every month.
Because the mansion was unfinished, the possibility of selling it to a buyer who had the resources (financial, time, and otherwise), as well as the foresight, to finish the lavish construction was eliminated. It only took the bank three months to decide to stop holding the property’s mortgage, and ever since then, the home has been lying empty, causing increasing amounts of water damage with each passing year.
